Here’s where it all starts!
Pip and Paul start with a plan to create a comedy magic act, and we are filming a video diary of the process! We’re hoping you’ll join us on this journey.
Ever thought about how something gets from initial idea to stage?
Do you wonder how magic tricks are designed and created? We hope to show this process (well, what we can!), warts and all as we get our professional stage act up and running.

Brilliant idea – good luck to you both.
Some years ago I almost started to keep a diary of every stage of development of a new business I was launching. I got as far as thinking about this on a regular basis but never did it. My mistake.
The benefits of what you’re doing include fulfilling more of your commitments to each other and probably going the extra mile to keep up the progress of development so that you don’t have to admit failure or defeat. (later in the vlog Paul notes this as a benefit)

Other videos may be slicker but you avoided a common mistake. You recognised that people might watch the vlog on different platforms. Most people forget this.
Ps: you didn’t cut out all the crud! Respect your audience 😉
One question I had that wasn’t addressed. Who do you see as your ideal audience for the double act? Who are you deigning it to appeal to? The more focused you are, the easier it will be to pick a performing style and effects that appeal to that audience. What sort of things do they like? Who do they find funny? You won’t want to copy anyone else’s style but you may be inspired by others. The clearer you are as to who would ideally be in the audience loving your show, the more likely you will create something that appeals to them in the first place.
